Brian Edward Cox is an English particle physicist and broadcaster who serves as Professor of Particle Physics at the University of Manchester and Royal Society Professor for Public Engagement in Science. A former keyboard player in 1990s bands, he later became a prominent science communicator presenting multiple BBC series (including Wonders of the Solar System and Wonders of the Universe) and has received honours such as the Royal Society’s Michael Faraday Prize and election as a Fellow of the Royal Society.
