Fruit Bats is the long-running project of singer-songwriter Eric D. Johnson, formed in 1997. The band released albums on labels including Sub Pop, Easy Sound and Merge Records, briefly retired in 2013 and reformed in 2015, and has since continued releasing albums and touring internationally. Johnson also co-founded Bonny Light Horseman, whose debut received Grammy nominations.
