Hilary was born in Houston, Texas but moved to Bolivia with her family at a young age and subsequently relocated to Australia and later Germany, where she began writing and playing piano. It was while hitchhiking through Europe that Hilary wrote her first song. She has been playing shows since 2000 in Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, New York, and Spain. She's released two albums, "The Moon" and "In The Dark", which have generated strong reviews and significant airplay on both sides of the Atlantic. York was a SXSW showcasing artist in 2005,2006,2009,2010,2011.
