About
Formed in Austin, Texas on January 1, 2024, the Louisiana Surf Department is fronted by vocalist/guitarist John Core (originally from Crowley, Louisiana) and has been active on the Texas live circuit. The band released their first full-length record "(((THANK YOUUU)))" on December 12, 2025 and issued a live acoustic album recorded at the Saxon Pub on January 3, 2026. They maintain a regular residency at Austin venues (including the Continental Club) and sell vinyl and merch through their official website.
