Primitive Ring formed in September 2024 as a power trio featuring Charles Moothart, Bert Hoover, and Jon Modaff. After releasing a run of 7" singles in 2025 on labels including Greenway, In The Red, Reverberation Appreciation Society and Fuzz Club UK, they issued a self-titled debut LP on May 15, 2026 via In The Red Records and supported it with live dates including a West Coast run with Ty Segall.
