Formed in the late 2010s, Rematch released their debut EP Broken Steps in 2018 and recorded the follow-up Do It All Again in Wales with producers Seb Barlow and Sammy Clifford. They signed to Lost Music Collective, released singles including "Words That Rhyme With Liar" and "6SPEED", and issued their first full-length album Nothing Like You Wanted on November 5, 2025.
