San Antonio–born Rey Arteaga is a vocalist, conguero and leader of the Austin ensemble Son y No Son, and has been active in the Texas Latin music scene for over three decades. He has co-founded or performed with numerous local Latin groups, recorded/collaborated with artists including Gordie Johnson and Davíd Garza, and regularly appears at Austin venues and community festivals.
