Formed by childhood collaborators Jack Montesinos and Joe Roddy (later joined by drummer Nico Léophonte), The Point. emerged from Austin's music scene and built a reputation for improvisational, globe-spanning sets. Their album Maldito Animal (originally released 2024) received a deluxe reissue in 2025 and the band has performed major festival dates including Austin City Limits and FloydFest while touring nationally and in Europe.
