Formed in 1982 and fronted for decades by bandleader Al Dressen, the Super Swing Revue recorded the album Songs from Beautiful Texas (Super Swing Revue) in 2013. Dressen worked with several veteran players from earlier eras, was inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame in 2009, and the ensemble remained a regular draw at regional dance halls and Bob Wills tribute nights. Al Dressen died on July 22, 2023, after decades leading the group.
