FOUR DAYS. FOUR EVENTS. One week of classes, photo walks, and free Canon loaner gear! From September 2–5, Precision Camera is teaming up with Canon to bring Austin photographers a week of hands-on classes, guided shoots, and a whole lot of loaner gear — all led by real Canon experts and our own staff. Whether you're brand new to your Canon or you've been shooting for years and just want an excuse to try the newest bodies and lenses before you buy, there's a spot on this week's calendar for you. Come to one event or come to all four! Either way, bring your camera and your curiosity. CANON WEEK KICKOFF PARTYWednesday, September 2 | 5:30–7:30 PM Stoney's Good Time Ranch Start Canon Week with an evening of models, free loaner gear, and good times! Photographers will have access to models throughout the event, providing plenty of opportunities to create portraits in a variety of settings. Canon will have a selection of free loaner cameras and lenses available, giving you the chance to experience the latest equipment before you buy. Canon representatives and Precision Camera & Video staff will be available to answer questions and help you get the most from the gear. LANDSCAPE CLASSSeptember 3rd & 4th with Canon Product Educator Rob Sylvan Join Canon Product Educator Rob Sylvan for a complete, hands-on photography workflow experience. This workshop begins on 9/3 with a classroom session on essential gear and settings, followed by a prime-time sunset photo walk to the iconic 360 Bridge to capture your shots. Canon will offer loaner gear for you to test out during the shoot. The following day, on 9/4, you'll return to the classroom to dive into simple Lightroom Classic post-processing, learn professional printing techniques, and watch your images come to life on a local printer. East Side PhotowalkFriday, September 4th | 10 AM - 12 PM Start your day with a thrilling photowalk WITH MODELS exploring the East Side of our city starting at the Cosmic Saltillo Coffee Shop. Grab your camera and get ready to snap some amazing shots while mingling with fellow photography enthusiasts. Canon will be providing loaner gear so you can try out their latest gear and get all your questions answered. You'll also gain a better understanding of Canon's camera lineup, lens mounts, and lens compatibility, making it easier to choose the right lenses and accessories as your photography grows. Along the way, you'll learn practical tips for customizing your camera, navigating common settings, and understanding the features you'll use most often.
