Join us for Psych Night, The Harms' new residency, presenting three distinct sounds from Austin's rich psychedelic scene, every first Thursday. See live drawing by Ami Plasse, enjoy lush plant installation by Play to the Plants, soak up the true Austin vibes of Sahara Lounge, one of Austin's oldest venues, meet new friends with Sahara's diverse, fun crowd.

The Couch Slippers (11pm) This Austin four piece psych-rock band sits somewhere between lo-fi psych, groove-heavy indie, and classic Austin weirdness. They're both raw and intentional and their live show conjures stolen moments from America's heavy 70s psych scene.

The Harms (10pm) Psych rock? Yes! Transcendental surf grooves? yes! Bold melodies, killer vocals, and sweet rhythmic drums keep the audience grooving and elated. They'll be performing songs from their new album, to be released this fall. They'll be joined by mentor & friend Joseph Woullard on woodwinds.

Ramdas and Ravi This unique Austin duo perform their enticing mix of transcendental rhythms, exploring global traditions. Let them carry you on their psychedelic journey with a compelling conversation between Tabla & Clarinet.

Amitai Plasse (live sketching all night) Amitai (ahh-mee-tie) Plasse, is a visual and motion artist born and raised in New York CIty. A '95 graduate of Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, he landed in Austin in 2011. A lifetime urban dweller, his creative influences have drawn heavily from his surroundings - from the numerous subcultures of music and art to the physical landscape of the city and its inhabitants. Always a prolific sketcher, he is rarely without a sketchbook (or now iPad) – chronicling characters, scenarios and impressions as he navigates his world. A lover of motion and interactivity, he is always pursuing alternate ways to bring his work to life. He is the director & animator of The Harms' new video HYSTERICO. He has worked with luminaries like Richard Linklater, and thrives on documenting real local community politics & art.

Yance-man is a community radio enthusiast with programs on KOOP 91.7 (Channel Surfing) and KLKT 107.9 (Country). By day he is one half of Plum Creek Records & Tapes in Lockhart. He loves Neil Young, hates data centers, and enjoys long road trips. He has supported the austin music community for many years through his DJ-ing and passion for vinyl.
